Hidden Treasures

Have you found your hidden talent?
In the English Class, my teacher wanted to know about our hidden talent. We had to make writings about our hidden talent(s). First, we had to ask our friends about which talents do they know about us. Then we checked their answers and see which one(s) is haven’t known by them. After that, it’ll be much easier to find our hidden talent(s). I found that my friends know a lot about me. So it was really hard to find THE TRUE HIDDEN TALENT. I was almost given up
because I had no idea what should I write. I came to my little sister and asking about the same question. She answered a lot more talents rather than my friends. She told me EVERY LITTLE talent I’ve got that I thought they were not good for me so I ignored them.
I compared my-sister-and-my-friends’ answers with my own (talents that I truly said ‘talent’). They’re very different. Drastically different! I found myself wasn’t as good as others. I can’t find my true self while other can describe about me very well. They understand me more than I ever could. So what’s the point? It’s about knowing-self ability. Sometimes when we have to describe about ourselves, it’ll be very hard for us. But if we ask somebody to do it (describing about us) they can do a lot better than us. Because we mostly doing things that are just pass it up and don’t really care about it while people give much care of us. We can’t see ourselves clearly, so that’s why we need a mirror (friend) to see our true selves.

That night, I was thinking about the English project (hidden talent). I had a brainstorm. It felt like a flashback to my younger ages. I found many things about myself. Like, a few years ago, I was interested in dancing. I couldn’t believe I was talented in dancing. Actually, I still can dance well, especially the traditional dances. But I didn’t want everyone to know because I was very shy to show up in public, because if everybody knew, I could’ve performed a lot in public. Well, now I’m telling you guys because I’m not as shy as before. And I want you to know about it. I just thought that “why should I keep this talent hidden from anyone?” So there, I tell you the truth. Now I’m wishing I can join the traditional dance extracurricular but I love singing more!
Got the point? A hint: When you thought you can’t do anything, flashback and “see” how much you’ve done.
