Is This How You Teach Us?
When I was at the church this morning, the Morning Prayer
has done. That time I was waiting for my sister that she was in the toilet. No
longer there was a little girl. The girl stood next to me and she was holding a
used-paper. It seemed like she was waiting for someone too. Suddenly, a man
came to her, he was from the toilet. I guess he was her father. Her father was
also holding a piece of used-tissue. They went to the rubbish bin nearby.
There were
“Put the paper into the rubbish bin,” said the father as he threw the
tissue he held into the organic rubbish bin. “Dad, it’s not the right bin!”
said the girl “the red rubbish bin is the one.” “Well, they are same. They’re
both rubbish bin where we throw garbage into them.” said the man. “But dad,
they are different. The green is for organic garbage, the red one is for
UN-organic ones.” Explain the girl as she threw her paper into the red rubbish
bin. “Don’t be mistaken to put garbage. Although they both are rubbish bin, it
doesn’t mean that they have same function.” “Who taught you those things?” ask
the father curiously. “My teacher taught me, and I watched some commercials
about it. Sometimes some people told me about it,” answer the girl proudly.
I
just smiled widely that time. I can’t believe there are STILL some people like
her. Most people don’t care about it much. But she does. In fact, she even ‘taught’
her own father! Some people say, “Parents are your example. Do what they teach
and do but the right ones.” The little girl was very wise. I mean, some
children do EXACTLY what their parents do. No matter is it good or bad. But she
took the good things, well, for this time I have to admit that her parents
(especially her dad) taught her wrong thing.
Okay, I guess you can see the
points;
> Little
thing that you do (especially for parents!) they are all watched and accepted
easily by everybody else (and your children). So stay doing right things because the change
is start from you.
